specialist nurseries

out of the ordinary

Never content with following the herd, we like to do things differently. Which would explain why specialist nurseries are sprouting up all over. Bonsai, alpines, eucalyptus. You name it. Grow yourself a specialist garden like no other.

aberconwy nursery

Graig, Glan Conwy, LL28 5TL. Tel: 01492 580875

And they’re no strangers to the odd award, either. Keith picked up The Alpine Garden Society’s most prestigious award for 2006, in recognition of his contribution to the world of alpines.

dibleys nurseries

Llanelidan, Ruthin LL15 2LG. Tel: 01978 790677

Dibleys, the countries leading growers of streptocarpus have just picked up a gold award at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. That’s 18 in 19 years. Not bad for a nursery that Rex Dibley started as a hobby. And there’s extensive planting across the 10 acre gardens, too. Which doesn’t leave the Dibleys with much time on their hands to do other things. Like finding a bigger trophy cabinet.

On-line mail order facility also available.
